The flourishing development of MIM industry

 
       At present, there are over 500 enterprises with considerable scale on the planet, that produce near net 
shape parts with metal injection molding technology, many of them are the subsidiaries of the international 
well known large companies. Such as the German BASF company, which main business is to produce the 
feedstock that can use in injection machine directly. American GM company set up an injection molding 
factory to produce precision parts for there cars. Japan's sumitomo metal, Shin Etsu Chemical have been 
establishing in the production of bonded magnets of injection molding. While some of the fine ceramic 
enterprises with strong foundation have also reaped the benefits of injection molding, so more ceramic 
manufacturers will adopt injection molding technology to produce complex shape precision ceramic parts.                         Predictably, as the further research, development and application of metal injection molding. MIM 
technology will become a near net shaping technology in the near future, that can be parallel to machining, 
precision casting and pressing/sintering. MIM will be known and accepted by more and more designer, and 
meets the request of high performance for key special shaped precision parts in the industries such as 
communication, machinery, automobile, weapons, medical, aerospace, etc.
